For some Office 365 users their clean mail ends up delivering directly to their Junk folder. This article explains how to configure Office 365 to always deliver your clean mail to your in-box after it is filtered by SpamHero.

Before getting started

You must switch your domain to use the static list of SpamHero delivery IPs. From within the SpamHero control panel go to Settings > Delivery Mail host or use this shortcut: https://www.spamhero.com/cp/settings/mail-host

On the delivery mail host page, switch your Mail host configuration to Mail host will only accept email from specific IPs or on a specific port. Doing so will ensure that we always use the same IPs to deliver your mail.

This also gives you access to see the official list of delivery IPs, which you'll need in this process.

Keep the window open with the IPs or copy the list to a text editor.

Exchange Admin Center

  1. From the Exchange Admin Center (https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/), go to Mail flow > Rules, or use this shortcut link: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/transportrules

  2. From the *Rules page, click on the + button and select Bypass spam filtering from the list

This will open the "new rule" window.

  3. In the new rule window...
    • Provide a Name to describe the rule (example: "Always deliver from SpamHero IPs")
    • In the Apply this rule if... drop-down list, select The sender..., and then from the second menu that pops up, select IP address is any of these ranges or exactly matches
    • Click on the Save button (and optionally review the remaining settings first)

  4. Add each SpamHero IP address (one at a time), click the + button and then click the OK button

[[box:tip]]As mentioned in the Before getting started section above, you can find the SpamHero IPs in the SpamHero control panel. Go to Settings > Delivery Mail host or use this shortcut: https://www.spamhero.com/cp/settings/mail-host[[/box]]
